Here at Aromas, I believe human factor is equally important as the product offered. We are in the Hospitality business. As much as the experience is important and desired for certain positions, the most important value that I look for in my teammate is the attitude. I am a true believer of “hire for attitude, train for skills”. The key attitudes I look for but not limited to are; pleasant customer service, flexibility, teamwork and be open to receive feedback.
Since we are a newly set-up business and need to establish the foundations of our food and beverage quality, I will look to hire the 2 key positions with very sufficient previous experience, that are Chef de Partie and Head Barista.
Service/kitchen team member hiring process at Aromas will be following receipt of your online form submission for the position you are interested, you will be invited for a one to one meeting if you are shortlisted. You will be contacted within one week if you are shortlisted. Following our short meeting, you will be invited to paid on the job interview which means you will be provided with one week-work schedule, where you will be assessed based on your attitude described above. End of the 1 week-on the job assessment, you will get your feedback whether you have been successful or not in securing your employment. Chef de Partie & Barista positions will be hired prior to the opening within the similar process which will be discussed individually with qualifying candidate.
Due to high product and personal hygiene standards that we will maintain at the café, non-smoking candidates will be given a priority.
