Our Story

Aromas opened its doors on 14 January 2017. 

Hello! My name is Inci Malik founder and sole proprietor of Aromas. I am a Hospitality Management graduate with degrees from Switzerland and USA combined with over 15 years of professional experience internationally with 5 star hotel companies as well as entrepreneurial ventures.

 

I gained majority of my professional experience in Dubai-UAE where I lived for 15 years before moving to UK in 2014. Dubai has been an amazing inspiration and a heaven for my hospitality career. I was fortunate to witness the city rising up in front of my eyes discovering new residential buildings, office towers, shopping malls, hotels popping up like mushroom day after day.

 

My first hotel job experience in Dubai started with Jumeriah International; now a world-renowned, then a local hospitality company. I was very lucky to be part of the pre-opening team at Mina A’Salam within Madinat Jumeirah Resort. Ever since then, new business set-ups always excited me and I moved on with several other pre-opening projects such as Atlantis The Palm and few other outlets within Emaar Hospitality.

 

Entrepreneurial venture came along in-between my hotel jobs with Café Barbera, an over century old Italian coffee roasting company’s first-ever coffee shop concept in Dubai. I got involved in the business not only as a partner but an operations manager running it on a daily basis. Our team’s hard work paid off and we opened the second outlet within a year in a very affluent financial district of Dubai. I then left my business partnership, but Café Barbera grew internationally with over 50 outlets and still growing.

 

I held another hotel and event management positions before exploring another business adventure; this time in e-commerce where I gained immense knowledge in today’s social media world for businesses. Here I am today, where I found myself in UK with total serendipity having it a go with my third business set-up opportunity all on my own from concept, to building, to team hiring to menu developing to being my own boss. Start-ups are always painful but I have the faith and based on past experiences, hard work pays off.

 

I own my happiness in what I do and I love it very much.

Menu Concept

Our menu changes frequently

At Aromas, there is something for every taste on our changing menu, that is why we do not have it written down. Platters of colorful salads and sandwiches are piled next to beautifully presented classic and exotic cakes and pastries. Variety of breakfast from English to Spanish to Turkish served until 11:30am. Some of the cooking ingredients include, tahini, pomegranate molasses, sumac, mahlep, allspice, black garlic, mint. Our focus on Mediterranean and Middle Eastern inspired food is simple, fresh, colorful and tasty. We try our best to work with seasonal produce all year long. 

Great tasting coffee, tea, hot chocolate and fresh juices compliment our food. We bring the taste of Scandinavia with coffee coming from Sweden. Lofbergsthat was founded in 1906 and is now one of the biggest coffee roasters in the Nordic Region. You may have already know the fact that, the world’s three biggest coffee drinkers per capita are Netherlands, Finland and Swedenrespectively. 

Newby tea provides us with one of the best quality gourmet tea selections. Their tea is sourced from India, Sri-Lanka, China and Taiwan. Among 40 tea varieties, we selected the most appreciated classic tastes including English Breakfast, Earl Grey, Jasmine, Camomile. 

Hot Chocolate is well worth mentioning of Kokoa Collection with real chocolate from white, to milk to dark selections. Yes!! We serve real hot chocolate!! 

Fresh juices and blended cold drinks are for you to enjoy while you spend your time at Aromas. If you like a fresh coconut juice; you can sip the freshest coconut juice right out of coconut fruit. We love Genuine Coconut!
